Rebele Joins TerraSure
September 8, 2008/Los Angeles, Calif.: Leo M. Rebele has joined TerraSure Development LLC as our brownfield services manager, serving the western United States. TerraSure is a national firm that specializes in providing environmental remediation and risk-transfer services to eliminate the cost uncertainty that can hamper transactions of environmentally impaired real estate. Based in the firm’s Los Angeles, Calif., office, Rebele is responsible for project development, execution, and sales in the Western United States.
With more than 12 years of experience, Rebele has prepared site conceptual models, remedial investigation and feasibility studies, managed human health risk assessments, and evaluated remedial action alternatives under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act. He has also interfaced extensively with the Department of Toxic Substances Control, Regional Water Quality Control Board, and California Unified Program Agencies, to obtain site closures under California’s Brownfield Legislation, including Assembly Bill 389, and the Polanco Redevelopment Act. Prior to joining TerraSure, he worked as an environmental consultant finding solutions to complex real estate challenges by working with developers, environmental attorneys, and redevelopment agencies toward the objective of redeveloping blighted industrial properties.
Rebele holds a master of science in environmental science from Oregon State University. He is an active member of the National Brownfield Association, Urban Land Institute, California Redevelopment Association and Harbor Association of Industry and Commerce.
